A 2-stage-procedure solution that uses modern software and hardware technologies in order to enable fast and reliable border crossing of travelers. ED is the project coordinator and the integrator of the proposed solution. ED is responsible for the development of a Document Authenticity Analytics tool, which performs straightforward verification of travel documents, building on top of existing systems (FADO), as well as for a Risk-Based Analytics tool, which utilizes state of the art risk based approaches to intelligently fuse all data collected and risk estimated to classify travelers.

SMARTRESILIENCE

SMARTRES project will allow benchmarking the best-practice solutions and identifying the early warnings, improving resilience of Smart Critical Infrastructures against new threats. ED has been involved in the software design of a tool for assessing the resilience of Smart Critical Infrastructures, based on indicators. ED also acts as the Dissemination and Exploitation Leader of the project

TRESSPASS

TRESSPASS project includes air, maritime and land (including car and train) border crossing points, and specifically also travel routes that combine different modalities and aims to develop a single cohesive risk-based border management concept by developing three pivoting pilot demonstrators and demonstrating the validity of the single cohesive risk-based border management concept by using red teaming and simulations. ED will implement the Dynamic Risk Assessment System module which will act as an “automated decision-maker” on the data extracted during the TRESSPASS procedure, as well as the integrator of the overall solution.

FOLDOUT

FOLDOUT focus is on detecting and tracking activity in foliated areas, in the inner and outermost regions of the EU and aims to build a system that combines various sensors and technologies and intelligently fuses these into an effective and robust intelligent detection platform. ED will participate in the System architecture design, will be responsible on the integration activities, delivering the C2 functionalities to facilitate an effective performance and decision-making of end-users.
