INCISIVE funded under the H2020 EU Program aims to take advantage of the unprecedented opportunities offered by the increasing amount and availability of cancer linked data e.g. cancer imaging and the development of novel technological tools based on Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning. Its aim is to provide better cancer detection and classification.
To this end, an AI-based toolbox that enhances the accuracy, specificity, sensitivity, interpretability and cost-effectiveness of existing cancer imaging methods, an automated-ML based annotation mechanism to rapidly produce training data for machine learning research and a pan- European federated repository of medical images will be implemented and validated.
ED will actively contribute to the development of the INCISIVE pan- European federated repository to enable donation and sharing of cancer data in compliance with ethical, legal and privacy demands for, among others, Artificial Intelligence based solutions experimentations.
