The project concerns the implementation of an information management system for healthcare benefits of EU citizens travelling to Poland as well as Polish citizens travelling to EU Member states.
The application is based on modern and state of the art technologies. ED will use in the context of the implementation of this project its Open Source Software e-collaboration platform MERMIG (http://www.mermig.com). With this project ED enters the very advanced IT market of Poland and intends to capitalise on this in order to expand its presence in the broader region.
ED is a major supplier of IT applications and software services for a wide spectrum of government and public sector organisations in many EU countries. ED is also one of the biggest suppliers of IT services of the European Commission and many other international organisations. The company has a strong international vocation. Over 90% of its turn over comes from its international activity.
