22/03/2013 MS Access and VB(A) Specialist (AVB/03/13)

We currently have a vacancy for a MS Access and VB(A) Specialist, fluent in English, to offer his/her services as an expert who will be based in The Hague. The work will be carried out either in the company’s premises or on site at the customer premises. In the context of the first assignment, the successful candidate will be integrated into the Development team of the company that will closely cooperate with a major client’s IT team on site.

Your tasks:

  • Analysis, design, development and programming of a solution, including prototyping based on the existing solution requirements’ specifications;
  • Liaise with the Solution Architect concerning the solution’s design;
  • Proposing, documenting and discussing improvements with the Solution Architect and Key user(s);
  • Contributing to the improvement of the development.

 Your skills:

  • University degree, with minimum 6 years of demonstrated experience in software development;
  • Minimum 5 years experience with MS Access technologies and with Visual Basic for Applications or VB;
  • Minimum 3 years experience with MS SQL Server and Transact SQL;
  • Solid knowledge of linked tables with MS Access and MS SQLS and in improvement strategies for MS Access based applications;
  • Knowledge of iterative development approach will be an asset;
  • Fluency in both oral and written English.
