28/06/2016 Oracle Database Administrator (RMAN, Linux) (ODA/06/16)

We currently have a vacancy for an Oracle Database Administrator fluent in English, to offer his/her services as an expert who will be based in Brussels. The work will be carried out either in the company’s premises or on site at customer premises. In the context of the first assignment, the successful candidate will be integrated in the Database Administration team of the company that will closely cooperate with a major client’s IT team on site.

Your tasks:

  • Configuration and administration of the Oracle database;
  • Masking of data in non-production environments and SQL tuning;
  • Monitoring and application incident management of the database;
  • Maintenance, testing and implementation of disaster recovery plans;
  • Documentation related to the database and the application procedures;
  • Provision of quality support and guidance to IT members, coordination of the database and application support.

Your skills:

  • Minimum 11 years of combined relevant university studies and experience in IT sector;
  • Minimum 6 years of professional experience in Oracle RDBMS administration, installation and configuration;
  • Hands-on experience in SQL, PL/SQL, RMAN and Data guard technologies;
  • Excellent knowledge of Linux operating system including shell scripting;
  • Good communication skills and capability to adapt in an international environment while having a strong sense of team spirit;
  • Ability to cope with fast changing technologies;
  • Fluent in English, both oral and written.
