02/10/2008 Deputy Team Leader/Legal Advisor (ZGR/10/08/02)
EUROPEAN DYNAMICS is looking for a Deputy Team Leader/Legal Advisor in Zagreb.
Brief project description: The purpose of the project is to establish a more efficient court administration and case management system in all Croatian courts building on the results of previous and ongoing EC and WB funded integrated case management system (ICMS) projects.
The results to be achieved by the project are as follows:
- Establishment of a reliable, efficient and sustainable system for management of cases in the courts and for general administration of the court system;
- Implementing and redrafting the relevant by-laws (Book of Rules);
- Increasing administrative capacitive of court staff regarding the newly adopted court management system (new business processes, procedures and IT system).
Qualifications and skills:
- University-level degree in law;
- Proven teamwork skills;
- Excellent communication skills;
- Computer (MS Office/MS Project) and office automation literacy required;
- Excellent command of written and spoken English language;
- Knowledge of Croatian language is an asset.
General professional experience:
- Preferably 5 years relevant work experience as a lawyer, judge or legal expert having been involved in the court procedures for at least 3 years. Experience can be gathered from national administration, private business or international organization projects.
Specific professional experience:
- Previous experience on the reform of courts management system and/or implementation of Court Operation Manual for at least 1 year. Confirmation of successful participation in the project by the beneficiary is required;
- Experience in an EU Member State having gone through the reform of court management would be an advantage;
- Good knowledge of the Croatian legal and judiciary system;
- Experience in business administration would be an advantage;
- Experience in managing comparable activities of project or contract work with EC projects, including knowledge of the EC procurement guidelines, local taxation, banking and other pertinent regulations affecting national and international procurement, and experience with preparation of detailed technical specifications would be an advantage.
