EUROPEAN DYNAMICS is looking for a IT Manager in Turkey (ref. KE4/NCTS/07/08) with the following profile:
The IT Manager oversees the development process, from the approved design specification, coding, testing, integration and acceptance. He has the overall responsibility for the quality of the deliverables and performance of services to support project goals. The project is presented below.
The provisional commencement date is 15 December 2008 and the period of execution of the contract will be maximum 16 months.
The overall objective of the project is the proper protection of the future external borders of the EU through a modernized Turkish Customs Administration (TCA) that it is in a position to fulfil the tasks and obligations of an EU Member State customs administration.
The purpose of this contract is as follows:
EU-compatible customs IT systems (ITMS applications) installed and fully operational at the end of the project and in line with EU requirements for interconnectivity and interoperability.
The project will assist the TCA to design, develop, implement and test the New Computerised Transit System (NCTS), integrated into a revised and web-based BİLGE platform and assure the training of the TCA officials with the new system through the provision of technical assistance for:
