EUROPEAN DYNAMICS is looking to recruit in Athens: Consultant in Environmental Information and Communication.

Job description:

The successful candidate will join a high level team of international experts who undertake the following:

  • Identify methodologies and best practices to promote accessibility and sharing of environmental information and policies between the European public sector, business and  citizens
  • Conduct investigation to elaborate benchmarks and follow-up implementation of benchmark results
  • Elaborate strategies and actively support the inclusion of environmental items in the agenda of decision makers
  • Liaise with stakeholders to build communities, networks, think tanks and locate synergies among relevant parties

Qualifications:

  • University degree in Environmental sciences with post graduate studies in Information management; alternatively, University degree in Information Technology with important experience in Environmental Information projects
  • Proved experience in authoring methodologies and benchmarks; 5 years of experience as an Advisor in a similar position
  • Excellent communication with strong argumentation skills and goal oriented attitude; capability in identifying  the big picture and in setting up directives to achieve goals
  • Excellent knowledge of English and proven ability to write, compile and present professional-level reports and studies
  • Availability to attend conferences in Europe

Candidates should be familiar with the latest developments in e-Environment and e-Government as well as Environmental and Public Information policy issues at European Union level.

Working knowledge of French and/or German, and/or any other language of the European Union is an asset.
