15/04/2008 eGovernment Research Specialist (eGov/10/07)
Tasks:
The successful candidate will join a high level team of international experts who will undertake the following:
- Appraisal and analysis of all eGovernment research projects in FP6, using modern methodologies;
- Liaison with project consortia for the purpose of feeding results for analysis, dissemination and evaluation to a dedicated site;
- Reporting on policy-oriented conclusions and generation of trends in the framework of the recent Action Plan for eGovernment (i2010);
- Formulation of conclusions on longer term projections, trends and policy features;
- Liaison with stakeholders at an international level;
- Compilation of results in reports and website publications.
Candidates should be familiar with the latest technical developments in e-Government as well as policy issues at European level.
Qualifications:
- A university degree in Information Technology or a similar subject;
- Minimum three years’ experience in FP6 European research or similar programmes, ideally in the area of eGovernment;
- Excellent knowledge of English and proven ability to write, compile and present professional-level reports and studies.
Requirements:
- A university degree in Information Technology or a similar subject;
- PhD in eGovernment or Information Technology or other related Post-graduate experience will be considered an asset;
- Minimum three years’ experience in FP6 European research or similar programmes, ideally in the area of eGovernment;
- Excellent oral and written communication ability in English, so as to compile and present professional-level reports and studies;
- Proven experience in authoring papers and research studies;
- Fluency in French is a strong asset;
- Familiarity with methods of evaluation of research results is desirable.
